Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Services Specialist to join our team at Sacramento County CA. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for performing paraprofessional tasks involved with the procurement of a wide variety of commodities and services on behalf of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make purchases using decentralized procurement methods, ensuring compliance with County policies and procedures.
  • Source and procure services, supplies, parts, and equipment from a wide range of vendors.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support to Contract Services Officers and other procurement staff as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Materials Management, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • One year of full-time paid experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Valid California Driver's License, Class C or higher.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a fingerprint clearance.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires frequent sitting, inputting data into a computer, and communicating with vendors and other personnel. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
