The Sacramento County CA is seeking a highly skilled Contract Services Officer Level I/II to join our team. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field
- 60 semester units or 90 quarter units from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field and one year of full-time experience in the class of Contract Services Specialist (Level II) in Sacramento County Service
- Two years of full-time professional experience purchasing commodities, acquiring contracted services, or writing service or construction contracts
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic purchasing principles and practices
- Knowledge of laws of public contracting and purchasing
- Knowledge of methods of purchasing by specification and competitive bidding
- Knowledge of characteristics and types of materials, supplies, equipment, and services suitable to meet the needs of a large government jurisdiction
- Knowledge of trade names, brands, and sources of supply
- Knowledge of contract administration techniques
- Knowledge of procedures and requirements for developing professional, personal, construction, and service contracts
- Knowledge of basic principles of insurance liability and safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of computer software, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
- Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training, and performance evaluation
Working Conditions
The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
