Patient Care Technician

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at Emory Midtown Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety of all patients. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, performing various patient care and observation duties, including cleaning patient rooms, operating clinical equipment, and assisting with emergencies.
Responsibilities:
Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN.
Maintains hospital and unit-specific competencies.
Assists in emergency situations as directed by an RN/LPN.
Ensures that prescribed measures related to hygiene, comfort, and rest are provided.
Complies with Standard Precautions guidelines, Infection Control procedures, and safety standards to maintain and promote a clean and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
BLS required.
Must meet one of the following requirements: One year of direct patient care experience, successful completion of a nursing assistant training course, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, or current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of 2 clinical rotations.
