Patient Care Technician Job Summary

Health Systems Management is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will work under the guidance of RNs to provide dialysis treatment to multiple patients at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate hemodialysis machines
  • Greet patients, collect vital signs, and report any concerns to the lead nurse
  • Assist with vascular access preparation and cannulation
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and conduct appropriate interventions
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort, including assisting with personal care needs and activities of daily living
  • Respond to emergency situations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work long hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months of employment
