We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Emory Midtown Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Perform assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN.
- Assist with patient procedures, collect and transport patient specimens, and complete applicable forms.
- Maintain hospital and unit-specific competencies.
- Assist in emergency situations as directed by an RN/LPN.
- Ensure that prescribed measures related to hygiene, comfort, and rest are provided.
- Comply with Standard Precautions guidelines, Infection Control procedures, and safety standards to maintain and promote a clean and healthy work environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- BLS required.
- Must meet one of the following requirements:
- One year of direct patient care experience.
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant training course.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, OR
- Current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of 2 clinical rotations.
