Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Emory Midtown Hospital. As a certified technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety of all patients. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, including cleaning the patient's room, operating various clinical equipment, and assisting with patient procedures.

Maintains hospital and unit-specific competencies, adhering to Standard Precautions guidelines, Infection Control procedures, and safety standards to maintain a clean and healthy work environment.

Assists in emergency situations as directed by an RN/LPN, ensuring that prescribed measures related to hygiene, comfort, and rest are provided.

Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

BLS required.

Must meet one of the following requirements: one year of direct patient care experience, successful completion of a nursing assistant training course, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, or current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of 2 clinical rotations.
