Job Summary:
We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at Emory Midtown Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN.
- Perform cleaning tasks, operate clinical equipment, and assist with emergencies.
- Collect and transport patient specimens, complete applicable forms, and maintain hospital and unit-specific competencies.
- Assist in emergency situations as directed by an RN/LPN and ensure prescribed measures related to hygiene, comfort, and rest are provided.
- Comply with Standard Precautions guidelines, Infection Control procedures, and safety standards to maintain a clean and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- BLS required.
- Must meet one of the following requirements: one year of direct patient care experience, successful completion of a nursing assistant training course, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, or current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of 2 clinical rotations.
