Position Overview
The Ski Lift Technician plays a crucial role in the upkeep and evaluation of ski lifts and associated equipment used in mountain operations. This technical role encompasses a comprehensive understanding of resort and mountain functionalities.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of ski lifts and related apparatus.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Support lift operations, including the operation of ski lifts.
- Familiarize oneself with the locations of ski lifts throughout the mountain.
- Operate lift controls effectively.
- Manage lift operations during auxiliary or evacuation scenarios.
- Handle maintenance tools and equipment responsibly.
- Conduct daily preventative maintenance inspections.
- Communicate maintenance issues clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Update maintenance procedures and maintain thorough records.
- Acquire knowledge of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board (CPTSB) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) regulations concerning ski lifts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to comprehend instructions and communicate effectively in English.
- Previous mechanical experience is advantageous.

Supervision
- This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
- Works under the direct supervision of the Lift Maintenance Director, with tasks assigned according to established procedures and frequent checks on work quality. Guidance and support are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Regularly work in challenging conditions and utilize protective equipment to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials, alongside working in an office environment and navigating slippery or uneven surfaces.
- Must be capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs, either independently or with assistance.
