Position Overview
The Client Relationship Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position demands a high degree of precision to adhere to regulatory standards and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute personal banking transactions for clients, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
2. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the features and advantages of the Bank's offerings to effectively cross-sell or make internal referrals as necessary.
3. Provide assistance to clients, which may encompass responding to inquiries, processing transfers via phone, and managing account openings and closures for both new and existing clients.
4. Conduct account maintenance tasks, such as updating addresses, managing debit cards, and handling research requests.
5. Address client inquiries or concerns in a courteous and supportive manner; investigate issues and escalate as needed.
6. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
7. Balance cash drawer daily.
8. Offer backup support to Relationship Bankers by verifying account information against source documents.
9. Manage the scanning of new account documents into the imaging system.
10. Answer the main phone line as required.
11. Meet or surpass all referral goals and targets across business units.
12. Communicate effectively with management, particularly regarding any challenges in meeting deadlines or providing adequate coverage.
13. Engage with both internal and external clients while delivering outstanding service.
14. Cultivate and sustain trusted, positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
15. Represent the organization and the Relationship Banking team with professionalism.
16. Complete job responsibilities in a timely, organized, and efficient manner.
17. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures, complying with relevant laws and industry best practices.
18. Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of personal and private banking deposit products and processes, along with banking regulations.
- Previous experience in a comparable role within retail banking services, ideally in a commercial banking environment.
- Familiarity with banking processing software.
- Demonstrated proficiency with office automation tools, including phones, computers, and scanners, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
