This position is Eligible for the Applicant Referral Bonus

Reporting to the Correctional Food Service Supervisor II, this role entails overseeing offenders engaged in extensive food preparation and service operations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Supervising offenders in the preparation and distribution of daily meals to the facility's offender population.
  • Providing culinary training to offenders, encompassing institutional cooking, baking, and serving techniques.
  • Ensuring that sanitation standards are upheld in all kitchen areas and that food is prepared in compliance with quality and sanitary regulations.
  • Maintaining appropriate food storage practices and monitoring inventory levels.

Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 19,000 employees.
