Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician II to join our team at the State of North Carolina. This is a full-time position that requires journeyman level skills in the electronics field, including installation, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment and systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics and be able to layout and design electronic circuitry to support new installations and needs of the various facilities within the region.

This role will involve supervising the work of skilled and unskilled inmate labor to complete assigned tasks, and the candidate must have a valid North Carolina Driver's License or the ability to obtain an NC driver's license within 30 days of hire.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:

  • Experience with installing, diagnostic troubleshooting, and or performing corrective/preventative maintenance and repairs on electronic equipment and systems
  • Associate's degree in electronics from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressive experience in the repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems including some responsibility for the design of electronic apparatus
