About the Job

This is a full-time position located at our Administrative Office in Knoxville, TN. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, with advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze data and prepare various types of reporting as directed by management.

The Grant Accounting Specialist will be responsible for tracking grant spending and submission of monthly invoices to various funding agencies. They will interact with finance leadership and the grant management team on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of expenditures tracking and perform various analyses as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate cost tracking worksheets in Excel or other software for assigned grants and ensure expenses are accurately coded to the appropriate grants in compliance with grant terms
  • Prepare grant reimbursement invoices to meet various funding agency documentation requirements and deadlines
  • Post reimbursement invoices in accounting system and follow up on delinquent invoices
  • Prepare revenue and expense variance analysis under the guidance of finance leadership and as needed by grant management team
  • Evaluate current processes and tracking worksheets for efficiencies

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $50,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
