Synopsis:

The Transportation Planning and Design Expert will be responsible for conducting work on transportation projects including traffic operations and safety, roadway design, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental considerations. Key responsibilities will include managing engineering reports, plans, and specifications for major and minor projects, participating in contract bidding and administration, supervising projects and team members, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and outside agencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology, with 5-10 years of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in Tennessee. Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is also required. The selected candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of software systems, including HCS, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, CORSIM, VISSIM, CUBE, TransCAD, Microstation, and Microsoft Office.
