Mailroom Operations Coordinator

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
The Administrative Support Specialist will:
- Utilize specialized mail tracking systems to manage, deliver, and monitor mail, ensuring accurate historical records are maintained.
- Handle various documents, including data entry, filing, and updating permanent records while verifying figures against reports.
- Manage the distribution and collection of mail, determining postage requirements and maintaining comprehensive records for all mail and packages.
- Organize and file all relevant mail documentation as required.
- Maintain orderly files of both routine and confidential correspondence.
- Prepare mail and packages for dispatch to designated addresses as necessary.
- Ensure that outgoing mail is properly sealed and affixed with the correct postage.
- Receive and inspect incoming mail and packages, date-stamping, sorting, and routing them to the appropriate recipients.
- Be capable of lifting packages weighing up to 50 pounds and maneuvering items up to 75 pounds.
- Possess a general understanding of office environments.
- Be physically fit to perform tasks, including pushing a loaded mail cart for extended distances and lifting bins during deliveries.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the latest versions of MS Word, Excel, and other applications within the Windows Operating System.
- Utilize a CMTS device as required.
Minimum of three years of experience in general office settings, mailroom operations, or similar environments, including experience with courier services and postal systems.
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Requirement:
Must possess a Secret level security clearance.
