Lead Software Engineer - Financial Systems

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for a variety of business applications related to Financial Accounting, Contracts, Billing, Timesheets, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Supply Chain purchasing.
  • Engage with IT colleagues and business stakeholders to clarify application requirements, design, and implementation strategies.
  • Implement application development and configuration best practices, ensuring thorough documentation and change management processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Business and Quality Assurance Analysts to develop test plans and ensure that issues are accurately identified, resolved, and validated.
  • Conduct intricate data analysis and deliver data queries or updates as per internal business requests.
  • Offer ongoing support for weekly, monthly, and annual financial business system processes and operations.
  • Diagnose data issues within integrated software solutions and internally developed applications.
  • Work in partnership with IT infrastructure support teams and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Provide on-call support for Financial Business Systems on a rotational basis.
  • Encourage a professional, positive, and productive work atmosphere.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their technical and professional capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Work Environment: This role necessitates regular in-person engagement, requiring on-site presence three or more days per week at the primary work location. Occasional travel and local commuting between company campuses and other potential locations may be necessary.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related technical field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree (Master's Degree or Ph.D.) may substitute for two years of relevant experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in Java, application interface/integration with XML web services, and advanced Oracle PL/SQL skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and professional, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Capability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Experience in government aerospace accounting.
  • Business Process Analyst experience in defining requirements for solution development.
  • Development skills using Oracle PL/SQL and Java.
  • Ability to create customized solutions within vendor framework tools; familiarity with DelTek Extensibility Designer.
  • Experience supporting business software systems, particularly ERP financial systems.
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting applications; familiarity with Deltek Costpoint.
  • Understanding of business data flow for cash flow, invoicing, payroll, and project cost collection.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel and Pivot tables for data validations.
Compensation Information:
  • Hourly Range: $55/hr. - $76/hr.

However, individual salaries are determined by various factors, including but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
