Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize cutting-edge design methodologies to develop state-of-the-art electronic systems tailored for defense applications.
  • Oversee the design and detailed development of systems, including modeling and simulation for tactical RF and antenna solutions.
  • Create both digital and analog hardware designs incorporating FPGAs, microprocessors, ADCs/DACs, power management systems, and control circuits.
  • Conduct thorough analyses on power consumption, stability, reliability, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers and adhere to Mil-Std documentation to establish functional and performance specifications.
  • Partner with Parts Engineers to select and validate EEE components that align with program objectives.
  • Work in close coordination with PWB packaging and layout engineers.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols while providing support during environmental and qualification assessments.
  • Maintain a consistent and organized work schedule.
  • Foster effective working relationships across departments, Strategic Business Units, and Strategic Capabilities Units to ensure a positive and productive work atmosphere.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

On-Site Work Environment: This role necessitates regular in-person engagement, requiring on-site presence five days a week at the primary work location. Occasional travel and local commuting between company facilities may be necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is conducted in various environments, including offices, laboratories, production floors, cleanrooms, and outdoor or remote research settings.
  • May occasionally require working in production areas where protective equipment is mandatory.
  • Access to different facilities may occur under varying weather conditions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Each advanced degree, such as a Master's or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Relevant technical experience may also be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Proficiency in digital, analog, and FPGA electronic circuit design, as well as associated software.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory testing environments utilizing equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, pulse generators, current probes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • While a security clearance or access with Polygraph is not a prerequisite for this position, candidates must be willing and eligible for submission based on program requirements after an offer is accepted.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Experience in power systems and mixed-signal design.
  • Familiarity with FPGA and software development.
  • Knowledge of Matlab, PSPICE/LTSPICE, and Mathcad.
  • Solid understanding of EMI/EMC principles, including system-level grounding and shielding.
  • Experience with OrCAD CIS for schematic design.
  • Proficiency in Hyperlynx for signal and power integrity analysis.
  • Experience designing for tactical environments (temperature, shock, vibration).

Compensation Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $173,500

Please note: This range is based on market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
