· Works alongside vendors and Team Members to comprehend and advocate for benefits.
· Manages and administers decisions regarding California COVID-19 cases, collaborating with payroll to guarantee timely California sick pay for our Team Members.
· Independently identifies and resolves issues related to health and welfare plans, eligibility, life events, enrollment, systems, etc.
· Serves as the primary contact for inquiries regarding benefits, providing clear and comprehensive communication to Team Members.

· Addresses and guides decisions regarding benefits inquiries from Team Members and managers concerning plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, life events, and other general questions.
· Conducts quality assessments of benefits-related data and implements necessary adjustments.
· Offers backup support for the administration of the 401(k) plan, the non-qualified plan, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
Drive: We act with urgency and enthusiasm while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
· Oversees the benefits communication strategy, developing content in collaboration with the Communications Team to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clarity.
· Collaborates with vendors and communications to maintain a cohesive and intentional approach to ongoing benefits communications throughout the year.
· Facilitates open enrollment sessions and new hire benefits orientation meetings.
Enjoyment: We engage our guests, connect genuinely, and bring smiles to one another.
· Identifies, implements, and manages employee perks.
· Responsible for updating all plan documents, reference materials, and plan summaries in collaboration with vendors.
· Executes responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures, safeguarding highly confidential employee information.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This role reports to the Benefits Manager and interacts with team members, field management, senior management, and various departments within the organization.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
· Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.
Minimum Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- One to two years of experience in Human Resources and/or benefits administration.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organizational and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and effectively execute plans.
- Proven self-starter who sets ambitious goals and consistently meets challenges.
· Flexibility and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Excellent communication skills, encompassing verbal, non-verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
· Working knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125, and COBRA regulations.
· Ability to adapt effectively to changing priorities and new challenges.
· Capable of managing a high volume of inquiries and emails efficiently and effectively.
Travel Requirement
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
