Maintenance Technician

This position involves repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment, as well as implementing preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will be a skilled machine repair professional with experience in reading mechanical and electrical prints, pneumatic schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
Responsibilities- Perform equipment changeovers, troubleshoot issues, and apply basic electrical skills.
- Repair and maintain high-speed production equipment, ensuring safe work practices and following lockout/tagout procedures.
- Respond to calls from line supervisors or operators to repair equipment as needed.
- Schedule preventative maintenance on equipment and participate in daily meetings to report maintenance department objectives and opportunities.
- Install and rebuild equipment, troubleshoot pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems, and develop preventative maintenance needs and requirements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems in a timely manner and take the lead in resolving technical issues.
- Interact with the public and other employees in a positive manner, promoting a cooperative working environment.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing competing demands on time frames.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a related field, with proven industry experience and beverage experience a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of OSHA laws and ability to implement required training.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with bilingual Spanish skills strongly preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays.
The ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports, and documents is essential. Effective communication with customers, regulatory agencies, and company representatives is also required.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this job include walking, standing for long periods, sitting, and talking or hearing. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and may be required to push or pull with a dolly or pallet jack up to 500 pounds.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is typically moderate, but may increase significantly in warehouse and manufacturing plants. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in field positions, which may include manufacturing and warehouse plants, and other venues as directed by supervisor.
