Position Summary:
We are in search of a highly qualified Chiller Technician to oversee maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting for our HVAC fleet, particularly focusing on large tonnage air conditioning systems and chillers. This role is crucial for ensuring that all equipment functions at optimal efficiency while maintaining precise records of all activities performed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technician for large tonnage air conditioning systems, chillers, and related equipment on-site, responsible for diagnostics, pre-deployment testing, and repair services.
- Engage in special projects, including researching obsolete replacement components and assessing refrigeration conversion options for existing systems.
- Act as a primary contact as our rental fleet transitions to advanced remote monitoring technologies.
- Mentor and train new Chiller and Service Technicians, especially those at Resolute branches and depots, promoting skill enhancement and teamwork.
- Contribute technical expertise and operational support to our Turnkey program for chiller and large air conditioning rental installations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, showcasing adaptability and commitment to team goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of practical experience with large tonnage HVAC and chiller systems, with a strong grasp of system applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC systems and chillers.
- Universal Certification is mandatory.
- Strong consultative and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of guiding and developing team members.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to travel as required to support operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with experience in data entry and reporting.
- 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
- Competent in computer usage, including internet navigation, email communications, order-entry systems, and relevant software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
- Must exhibit a positive attitude and demonstrate strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. using safe lifting techniques.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening to operate company vehicles.
- A valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) are essential.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
Work Schedule:
This position may involve a rotating on-call schedule and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak periods. Travel may also be necessary. Overtime and double-time pay rates apply for applicable hours worked.
