We offer a wide range of rental equipment, including portable air conditioning units, cooling towers, chillers, heaters, dehumidifiers, generators, and power distribution systems, catering to HVAC rental needs across the nation. Our services are designed to assist clients in optimizing their operations, saving costs, and enhancing experiences at significant events.
Position Summary:
We are in search of a highly qualified Chiller Technician to oversee maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting for our HVAC fleet, particularly focusing on large tonnage air conditioning systems and chillers. This role is crucial for ensuring that all equipment functions at optimal efficiency while maintaining precise records of all activities conducted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technician for large tonnage air conditioning systems, chillers, and related equipment on-site, responsible for troubleshooting, pre-deployment testing, and repair services.
- Engage in special projects, including researching obsolete replacement parts and assessing refrigeration conversion options for existing systems.
- Act as a key liaison as our rental fleet transitions to remote monitoring technologies.
- Mentor and train new Chiller and Service Technicians, particularly those at Resolute branches and depots, promoting skill enhancement and teamwork.
- Contribute technical expertise and operational support in our Turnkey program for chiller and large air conditioning rental installations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to team goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of practical experience with large tonnage HVAC and chiller systems, including a comprehensive understanding of system applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC systems and chillers.
- Universal Certification is mandatory.
- Strong consultative and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of guiding and developing team members.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to travel as required to support operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with experience in data entry and reporting.
- 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain capacity is preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Competent in computer usage, including internet navigation, email communications, order-entry systems, and relevant software applications as necessary.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities.
- Must possess a positive attitude and demonstrate strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. using safe lifting practices.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test to operate company vehicles.
- Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) are essential.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
Work Schedule:
This position may necessitate working a rotating on-call schedule and being available for evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. Travel may also be required. Overtime and double-time pay rates apply for applicable hours worked.
