N C Machinery is looking for an Outside Rental Sales Specialist to operate within a designated territory.
  • The primary responsibility of this position is to drive profitable rental transactions for N C Machinery.
  • The Rental Sales Specialist will actively seek and secure rental opportunities within the assigned area.
  • This role focuses on renting Caterpillar earthmoving machinery, particularly in the sectors of Building Construction Products and Compact Construction Equipment. Additionally, equipment such as trench shoring, generators, air compressors, aerial lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, water/dump trucks, and trailers are also part of the rental offerings.
  • Our rental fleet includes reputable brands like Genie, JLG, Sullair, Multiquip, Allmand, among others.
  • Success in this role requires the ability to address technical questions, leveraging a strong knowledge of our equipment.
  • Professional credibility and personal aptitude are essential for thriving in this position.
  • Effective communication skills are crucial for assisting clients with their business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and cultivate new customer relationships within the territory to maximize potential.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with existing customers.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to client locations to provide product information and educate them on financial merchandising options.
  • Keep precise and comprehensive customer records, including data logging, managing the sales pipeline, tracking expenses, and adhering to sales protocols.
  • Collaborate with operations staff regarding equipment availability and rental programs. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High energy and self-motivation are essential traits for this role.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to helping customers succeed are critical for achieving success.
  • 2-3 years of experience in outside rental or sales is highly desirable.
  • Skills in prospecting, new business development, and customer retention are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Earning Potential: The on-target earnings (OTE) for the first year is projected at $90,000, which includes a base salary and draw of $57,000 annually, plus commission. We provide a competitive benefits package that encompasses health benefits, vacation, sick leave, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with profit sharing and company match.
