  • The main objective of this position is to drive profitable rental transactions for our company.
  • The Rental Sales Representative will actively seek and secure rental opportunities within the designated area.
  • This role involves renting Caterpillar earthmoving machinery, with a particular emphasis on Building Construction Products and Compact Construction Equipment. Additionally, equipment such as trench shoring, generators, air compressors, aerial products, boom lifts, scissor lifts, water/dump trucks, and trailers will also be available for rental.
  • Our rental fleet includes esteemed brands like Genie, JLG, Sullair, Multiquip, Allmand, among others.
  • The ideal candidate will possess the ability to address technical questions with a solid understanding of our machinery.
  • Professional credibility and personal aptitude are crucial for success in this role.
  • Effective communication skills are essential to assist our clients with their business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and cultivate new customer relationships within the territory to maximize potential.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with existing customers.
  • Conduct weekly in-person visits with clients at their locations and job sites, providing product information and educating them on financial merchandising options.
  • Keep accurate and detailed customer records, including data logging, managing the Dodge Pipeline, overseeing expenses, and adhering to sales protocols.
  • Collaborate with operations staff regarding equipment availability and rental programs. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High energy and self-motivation are essential.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to helping clients succeed is vital for success in this position.
  • 2-3 years of experience in outside rental or sales is highly preferred.
  • Skills in prospecting, new business development, and customer retention are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Compensation: The on-target earnings (OTE) potential for the first year is $90,000, which includes a base salary and draw of $57,000 per year plus commission. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes health benefits, vacation, sick leave, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with profit sharing and company match.
