About the Role

Herc Rentals is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing business relationships with companies and individuals within your designated territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth through daily territory management and visits to customer job sites/offices.
  • Networking and Sales: Develop a list of potential clients and consistently contact them through the telephone and internet to establish and maintain relationships.
  • Sales Strategies: Plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results/goals, including maintaining and exceeding quotas by renting and selling equipment on a consistent basis.
  • Customer Needs: Identify customer needs and react appropriately, understanding market conditions and local competitors' pricing.
  • Customer Base Diversification: Penetrate customers at the strategic level to diversify the customer base to include industrial, traditional, and non-traditional accounts.
  • Team Support: Support all team members to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Promotions, Advertising Sales, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience: Proven track record with 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience within the industrial market and/or heavy equipment industry preferred.
Skills
  • Communication: Ability to engage in natural verbal interaction with customers.
  • Time Management: Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Adaptability: Able to walk into unfamiliar environments and adjust rapidly to the setting.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Computer Skills: Solid and proven computer skill set, including knowledge of MS Office.
  • Customer Service: Customer service focused and able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
Compensation and Benefits

Herc Rentals offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $75,000 to $95,000 per year, uncapped commission, company truck, and fuel card. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, flex spending and health savings accounts, virtual health visits, 24-hour nurse line, and more.
