Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour and above.

Work Schedule: Full-time, requiring 40+ hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings on a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist members in a friendly, professional, and timely manner to ensure prompt and accurate service
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the services offered by the credit union to educate members and proactively suggest beneficial options
  • Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of member information
  • Process routine cash and check transactions, including cashing and depositing checks, transferring funds between accounts, and managing deposits and withdrawals
  • Stay informed about relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and assist with vault and ATM/ITM balancing as required
  • Be vigilant regarding potential fraud and safety issues affecting the credit union, members, and staff
  • Facilitate account openings
  • Order debit cards
  • Assist members with name changes

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in utilizing various computer systems
  • Attention to detail in handling cash, documents, and information
  • Prior experience in customer service and cash handling is preferred

Work Environment:

This role requires prolonged periods of standing and primarily involves working at a workstation or desk in an open office setting. Daily tasks include extensive computer use, necessitating repetitive motions. Stretching breaks are encouraged to prevent injury. Some light lifting may be required, including occasional lifting or carrying of coin bags weighing up to 50 lbs.
