About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer, P.E. to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced engineers and designers who specialize in energy projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing design parameters, including design concepts, engineering criteria, equipment and instrumentation specifications, and code interpretations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical engineering analysis and design activities, including area classification studies, arc flash/short circuit studies, and protective relay coordination studies.
  • Develop and implement electrical system models using ETAP.
  • Design and specify electrical power distribution and control equipment, including voltage drop calculations and motor control schematics.
  • Develop and implement conduit and cable schedules, as well as conduit design and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
  • Design and specify lighting systems and PLC loop wiring diagrams.
  • Develop and implement equipment grounding design and electrical equipment specifications.
  • Perform independent technical reviews of project PPFDs and P&IDs.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including Title 49 CFR Parts, IEE, IES, NACE, NEMA, NFPA 70 (NEC), API RP 500, and AGA XL101.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas (preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on midstream energy or petrochemical sector.
  • Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, or equivalent software, as well as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
