Position Summary

  • Starting Wage: $24.00 per hour
  • Age Requirement: 21 years or older
  • Prior Law Enforcement or Military Experience Required
  • Valid Driver's License Mandatory
  • Work Schedule: Wednesday to Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM

As an Armed Custom Protection Officer (CPO), you will be responsible for conducting armed patrols on foot and/or in a vehicle, managing access control, monitoring surveillance systems, generating reports, and deterring criminal behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security patrols in assigned areas, either on foot or by vehicle.
  • Identify and report any irregularities or potential safety hazards.
  • Alert authorities in case of emergencies or unauthorized access.
  • Enforce rules and regulations, addressing violations such as loitering or prohibited items.
  • Control access for authorized personnel and monitor entry and exit points.
  • Observe departing individuals to prevent theft and ensure compliance with property removal protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports; maintain logs as required.
  • Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary in accordance with site procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing productivity and cost efficiency to management.
  • Suggest improvements for security assessments and operational guidelines.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local regulations.
  • Must meet one or more of the following criteria:
    • Military experience in law enforcement-related roles such as military police or special forces.
    • At least two years of experience as a law enforcement officer with a firearm, with no disciplinary actions for firearm misuse.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Ability to operate communication equipment and monitor systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and active listening.
  • Ability to assess situations effectively and identify critical issues.
  • Skilled in compiling and interpreting data.
  • Experience in conflict mediation with tact and diplomacy.
  • Capable of writing clear and informative reports.
  • Team-oriented with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a 20-hour Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) certificate.
