As an Armed Custom Protection Officer (CPO), you will be responsible for conducting armed patrols, both on foot and in vehicles, across designated areas. Your duties will include controlling access points, monitoring surveillance systems, preparing reports, and deterring criminal activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security patrols in assigned areas, either on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Identify and report any irregularities or potential safety hazards.
  • Alert authorities in case of emergencies, such as fires or unauthorized access.
  • Address rule violations, including loitering or possession of prohibited items.
  • Manage access for authorized personnel and oversee entry and exit points.
  • Monitor personnel leaving the premises to prevent theft and ensure compliance with removal protocols.
  • Document and report on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities, maintaining required logs.
  • Assist customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Execute emergency notifications as dictated by site-specific procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing productivity and reducing costs.
  • Suggest improvements for physical security assessments and post orders.
Qualifications (Required):
  • High school diploma or equivalent is essential.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local regulations.
  • Must meet one of the following criteria:
    • Military service in a law enforcement-related field, such as military police or special forces.
    • A minimum of two years of experience as a law enforcement officer, with a clean record regarding firearm use.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to operate communication equipment and surveillance monitors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and active listening.
  • Ability to assess situations effectively and identify critical issues.
  • Capable of compiling and interpreting data.
  • Skilled in research and investigative tasks.
  • Ability to mediate conflicts with professionalism.
  • Strong writing skills for clear and accurate documentation.
  • Team-oriented with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a 20-hour Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) certificate.
