Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is seeking a skilled DTI Technologist. This role operates under the guidance of the Chief Technologist, ensuring that imaging services are delivered to patients and referring specialists in accordance with professional standards. The technologist is expected to foster positive relationships with radiologists and other healthcare providers.

Note: This is a per diem position with varying shifts and hours.

Key Responsibilities:

(85%) Patient Imaging Duties:

  • Conducts both routine and advanced DTI imaging procedures on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Pre-screens patients prior to examinations to identify any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, explaining the DTI procedures, positioning them correctly for optimal imaging, and providing reassurance throughout the process.
  • Adjusts imaging equipment as needed to ensure accurate results.
  • Maintains a collaborative and positive working relationship with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Engages with healthcare professionals and patients, as necessary, to facilitate care.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Accurately documents patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and clean to promote safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures imaging equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and disinfected after each use.

(10%) Imaging Support Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the upkeep of an updated radiographic protocol manual and manages software updates.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff members, offering expertise and resources.

(5%) Additional Duties:

  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by management.
