About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at HII Corp. Defunct. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for facilitating the development of electrical systems for our naval ships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct shipchecking spaces to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Coordinate with waterfront trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Lead integration efforts with Norfolk Naval Shipyard and other AIT/CCTs.
  • Work closely with E63 Designers and Engineers to produce high-quality arrangement products and drawings.
  • Serve as a drawing checker for the department.
  • Act as the Engineering Point of Contact (EPOC) for Scoping questions from Contracts & Pricing.
  • Support E63 Management Team in resolving Trade Priority EIRs.
  • Collaborate with E63 Quality Team to analyze and resolve Trade/Eng DC Coded IRs.
  • Support E63 Managers on short-term special projects, such as ROM estimates for new contracts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of related experience; 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's Degree; 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's Degree; 12 years of non-exempt, Manufacturing, Military, Shipbuilding or Trades experience can be substituted for Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of Nimitz class Electrical systems, including general power and lighting distribution, is preferred.
