Evening Reception Specialist

Job Overview:
The Night Audit position is crucial for ensuring a seamless guest experience during overnight hours. Front Desk Agents are tasked with welcoming and registering guests, delivering exceptional service throughout their stay, and finalizing guest accounts upon departure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Register guests and manage reservations, including modifications.
2. Perform hotel operator and concierge duties.
3. Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field is advantageous.
- Experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- A positive and enthusiastic demeanor with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, and effectively solve problems to address guest and co-worker needs.
- Strong communication skills to convey information clearly.
- Quick and accurate decision-making abilities.
- Capability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Proficient in financial information management and basic arithmetic operations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Understanding of hotel products and guest services is beneficial.
Core Duties:
- Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to uniform and name tag requirements.
- Ensure regular attendance in compliance with company standards, adapting to hotel needs.
- Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk, maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Operate the telephone switchboard effectively, meeting all performance standards.
- Handle requests for information, mail, and messages efficiently and courteously.
- Answer guest inquiries regarding hotel services, facilities, and operational hours.
- Foster good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments.
- Stay informed about rates, packages, special promotions, and in-house groups.
- Collect necessary information for room reservations and follow proper rate quoting procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with hotel policies, house rules, and hospitality terminology.
- Assist in emergency procedures as required.
- Manage check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system proficiently.
- Ensure timely logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests.
- Use proper radio etiquette when communicating with team members.
- Deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, and requested amenities as needed.
