Job Summary

The Respiratory Equipment Specialist provides properly functioning respiratory care equipment by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, performing preventive maintenance on select equipment and verifying operational readiness. This role requires strong problem-solving skills to identify equipment repairs that can be done internally and to determine the need to clean the laboratory and equipment areas.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide in an expedient manner, properly functioning respiratory care equipment by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, performing preventive maintenance on select equipment and verifying operational readiness.
* Organize, monitor and maintain appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels.
* Document charges in the computer for respiratory care modalities rendered on the previous day.

Requirements

* High school graduate (or GED).
* Previous work experience with respiratory care equipment is preferred.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and to adapt to frequent change. The Respiratory Equipment Specialist must be able to work the day or evening shift as required and to work every other weekend.
