Patient Services Representative

The Patient Services Representative is a vital member of our team at The Colony ER Hospital, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients with a warm and welcoming smile, creating a positive first impression.
  • Answers phone calls and responds to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Enters patient information into our database, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Performs general clerical and hospitality duties, including preparing reports and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, with a financial background preferred.
  • Knowledge of health insurance and general office equipment, including computers, Microsoft Office, telephones, copier, and fax.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple demands effectively, with exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares internal and external reports as required by Federal/State/Local agencies, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and ordinances, participating in onsite inspections and completing required reports.
  • Maintains a general knowledge of central and chairside equipment, ensuring routine preventative maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Participates in personnel activities, including compliance with policies and procedures, and ensures quality patient care through implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Follows all company policies, encourages a friendly and respectful work environment, and provides patients and their families with a customer-focused, friendly, reassuring, and open environment.
