Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in Wylie, TX. As a Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality services are delivered in a customer-service-friendly environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluating staffing patterns to meet the needs of residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
- Administering medication/treatments as prescribed.
- Receiving, transcribing, and implementing physician's orders.
- Implementing and evaluating care plans.
- Identifying/securing equipment and supplies.
- Directing/overseeing subordinates.
- Participating in duty assignments.
- Organizing/coordination of subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
- Overseeing/monitoring function and activities of subordinate staff.
- Evaluating staff performance and instituting appropriate action, discipline, or training.
- Monitoring infection control compliance.
- Investigating/documenting accidents/incidents.
Requirements include:
- Current, valid licensure as a LVN required.
- Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
- Management/Supervisory experience required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed.
- Strong written and verbal skills required.
