Job Summary: NY CREATES is seeking a highly skilled Grant Administrator to provide post-award financial analysis and support for grants and contracts received by the Research Foundation for SUNY. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely review and approval of non-procurable expenditure requests, payment requests against Purchase Orders, and sub-recipient monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve non-procurable expenditure requests within delegated authority and in compliance with all applicable federal, sponsor, Research Foundation regulations and IRS requirements.
  • Review and approve payment requests against Purchase Orders established by Purchasing Staff within delegated authority and in compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Monitor sub-recipient invoices, review, and approval to ensure compliance with federal, sponsor, and Research Foundation guidelines.
  • Review and approve labor distribution activity for Research Foundation payroll, making determinations on available funding and appropriateness of charge.
  • Ensure accurate and timely labor distribution data entry.
  • Review and monitor cost share requirements and expenditures, collecting and documenting acceptable cost sharing and release time obligations.
  • Coordinate account closeout processes as necessary, serving as liaison with NY CREATES finance staff and other sponsored program administrative staff.
  • Review supporting materials for new and renewed grants and contracts to become familiar with the portfolio of NY CREATES sponsored programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and two years' experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong organization and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or an equivalent software suite.
