Procurement Specialist: Cost Reduction and Supply Chain Management

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Randstad USA. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a vital role in driving global cost reduction initiatives and ensuring supply assurance through collaboration with plants and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on short and long-term sourcing plans, considering demand forecasts, economic trends, and currency conditions.
  • Assist in executing e-auctions, RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to secure the best possible prices for our clients.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives by monitoring raw material prices and identifying opportunities for savings.
  • Ensure supply assurance through effective communication and collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage logistics and inventory for company-owned kegs, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing waste.
  • Support risk mitigation and cost-effective procurement strategies to minimize financial exposure.
  • Handle non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and certificates of analysis (COAs) between suppliers and manufacturing facilities.
  • Foster open communication between teams to resolve materials and quality issues, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and optimize business outcomes.

Performance Metrics:

  • Contribution metrics, such as cost savings and supplier performance ratings.
  • Global objectives performance, including sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Required Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or finance.
  • Proven experience working on project teams, with a strong track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop insights-driven recommendations.

Desired:

  • Experience in materials planning, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or as a senior buyer, with a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.
