Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more, successful completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
  • Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required. ENPC, TNCC, or CEN preferred. Completion of NC state-approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility-specific) within 3 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse acts as a leader within the healthcare team at Novant Health by fostering a genuine, personalized relationship with patients and their support systems. This role involves collaborating with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans that promote optimal health or facilitate a peaceful passing. The Registered Nurse employs best scientific evidence and compassion to guide patients through their health journeys. They accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for the management and delivery of care in accordance with current policies and procedures.
