Critical Care Registered Nurse

This specialized 19-bed unit provides care for patients requiring critical, intermediate, and progressive support. The ideal candidate will possess experience in intermediate or ICU settings and demonstrate a commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care.
- Shift: 7pm-7am, full-time (36 hours per week)

The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in the healthcare team at Novant Health, fostering genuine relationships with patients and their support systems. This role involves collaboration with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans that enhance health outcomes or ensure a dignified end-of-life experience. The Registered Nurse applies the best scientific evidence and empathy to guide patients through their healthcare journeys. They are accountable for the management and delivery of care in line with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. If your RN license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is necessary before reactivating your license.
- Experience: Preferred one year of relevant nursing experience.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required; advanced certifications as mandated by the facility.
- Essential Skills: Strong customer service orientation, effective communication (both verbal and non-verbal), interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and computer proficiency. Additional training may be required by the department.
