Critical Care Registered Nurse

This specialized unit, consisting of 19 beds, provides care for patients requiring critical, intermediate, and progressive support. The ideal candidate will possess experience in intermediate or ICU settings and demonstrate a commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care.
- Work Schedule: 7pm-7am, full-time, 36 hours per week

The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in the healthcare team at Novant Health by fostering authentic relationships with patients and their support systems. This role involves collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans that promote optimal health outcomes or support a dignified end-of-life experience. The Registered Nurse employs evidence-based practices and compassion to guide patients through their healthcare journeys. This position entails accountability for the management and delivery of care in line with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. If your RN license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is necessary before reactivating your license.
- Experience: Preferred one year of relevant nursing experience.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required, along with any advanced certifications as mandated by the facility.
- Essential Skills: Strong customer service orientation, effective communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal), interpersonal relationship skills, conflict resolution abilities, critical thinking, and proficiency in computer usage. Additional training may be required based on departmental needs.
