Position Overview:

Wells Fargo is in search of an Associate Roving Personal Banker (SAFE) within our National Branch Network, part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Discover more about our career opportunities and business divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support various branch locations within a designated area, filling in for bankers or tellers who are unavailable or covering temporary vacancies.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and environments while addressing customer needs.
  • Contribute to delivering an outstanding customer experience by establishing relationships through proactive outreach and recommending suitable products, services, and digital solutions to help customers achieve financial success.
  • Assist customers with fundamental requests such as opening new accounts, fulfilling service requests, and processing credit applications.
  • Follow guidance from management while exercising judgment within established policies and procedures.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of banking products and services to align with customer needs.
  • Engage with customers to demonstrate care and foster relationships.
  • Present appropriate options for banking products and services to customers.
  • Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as necessary.
  • This SAFE position involves customer interaction and responsibilities that may include offering or negotiating terms and/or processing applications for secured transactions, necessitating compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service orientation with experience managing complex transactions across multiple systems.
  • Experience in proactively engaging customers through outreach via phone or email.
  • Ability to educate customers about technology and promote the benefits of mobile banking options.
  • Capability to assist customers in achieving financial success by connecting them with additional team members as appropriate.
  • Experience collaborating with team members to meet customer needs.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and nurture strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal partners.
  • Familiarity with adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Skill in identifying potential fraud or risky accounts and taking appropriate preventive measures.
  • Professional and respectful interaction with customers and team members.
  • Relevant military experience, including personnel benefits management and human resources.
  • Proficient in sourcing, acquiring, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Support customers and team members in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
Job Expectations:
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the district.
  • Ability to commute to assigned locations for the duration of branch assignments.
  • Availability to work a schedule that may include weekends.
  • Responsible for cash handling and balancing, while also completing service-related tasks as needed.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • SAFE registration is required upon employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your start date.
