Job Summary

The Supervisor of Patient Care: Resource Pool is a key member of the management team at Akron Children's Hospital. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care by the nursing staff during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direction, coaching, and training to nursing staff to ensure they meet company goals and objectives.
  • Manage department budget to maintain expenditure controls and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Promote and maintain quality patient care through effective management of patient care activities.
  • Communicate with Nursing Management staff about any circumstances or situations that may impact patients, staff, or hospital operations.
  • Maintain operational aspects of the hospital and patient care units in collaboration with nursing and hospital staff support services.
  • Contribute to nursing and hospital objectives through support of philosophy, educational efforts, and research efforts.
Requirements
  • Experience in clinical pediatrics is required.
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
  • Currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of Ohio is required.
  • Current Health Care Provider BLS is required.
  • PALS, NRP, ACLS, or TNCC is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience supervising is preferred.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position with a 24-hour workweek. The work schedule is 7am-7:30pm, onsite at Akron Children's Hospital.
