Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Help Desk Coordinator to join our team at the Town of Vernon. As a Help Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users with computer software and hardware problems, as well as inquiries on how to use specific software, electronic mail, or operating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person
  • Analyze and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with IT technical staff to resolve complex technical issues
  • Monitor and maintain IT network management systems
  • Communicate effectively with users and technical staff to resolve issues and provide updates
  • Compile and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the help desk experience
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Computer Science or Technology, or related field, plus 2 years of experience in a computer network environment
  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalency with a minimum of 3 years Helpdesk coordination, or 2+ years Helpdesk management experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional and Help Desk software
