Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Customer Support Technician to join our team at the St. Johns River Water Management District. As a key member of our Information Technology Services Customer Service Team, you will provide telephone, remote, and deskside support to our network users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance to network users, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with hardware and software.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on computer systems and equipment, as required.
- Develop and implement technical solutions to resolve complex issues and improve system performance.
- Lead assigned projects and develop project plans to ensure timely completion and effective resource allocation.
- Provide technical training and support to network users on the proper operation of the network and other data communications equipment.
Requirements:
- An associate's degree from an accredited college or completion of a two-year program of study from a vocational/technical school in management information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- 2 years of progressively responsible experience as a Microsoft Windows personal computer Help Desk/Customer Service Support Technician in an Active Directory environment.
Working Environment:
The majority of time will be spent sitting at a desk using the telephone and remote access technologies to interact with users. Lifting and moving personal computers, boxes, supplies, and occasionally furniture may be required. The job will also require moving tracing cables, crawling under desks, and climbing ladders.
