Maintenance Planner

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to enhance maintenance and operations at our Tissue Paper Machines in Palatka. This role is crucial in driving reliability improvements by implementing best practices in maintenance planning and developing comprehensive asset strategies to manage risks associated with premature failures.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure maintenance work is properly planned, scheduled, performed, and completed; maintain detailed knowledge of facility and equipment condition; manage work of outside contractors as required.
- Plan approved maintenance work requests including occasional mechanical steps or smaller work orders as needed for routine daily work, recurring periodic and annual shutdowns.
- Ensure facility planning guidelines are adhered to; ensure parts, materials and specialty services are coordinated ahead of scheduled work; improve creation and use of template or “model” work orders to improve planning efficiency.
- Perform systematic analysis and resolution of process and equipment failures; develop and implement asset strategies for existing equipment, review concepts and designs for process improvement projects.
- Three (3) or more years of experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience applying Reliability Best Practices, RCAs, Preventive Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, or Project for data analysis and assembly of charts, and PowerPoint for presenting information to varying audiences.
- Two (2) or more years of maintenance planning work.
- Leadership experience managing projects or experience with assigning/delegating work to others.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry in Maintenance or Engineering.
- Experience in SAP-Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Technical experience with boilers, steam turbines, and water systems.
