Job Summary

As a Senior Sous Chef at Marriott International Inc, you will be responsible for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations. You will exhibit culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food-related functions. Your goal will be to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. You will supervise all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding and developing staff, including direct reports, and ensuring sanitation and food standards are achieved.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional with a strong background in kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, and 2 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area, is also acceptable.

Core Work Activities
  • Lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals to achieve exceptional results.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring that all food-related functions are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events and functions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure that the kitchen operates within budget.
  • Ensure that all food products are of the highest quality and are prepared and presented in a manner that meets Marriott International Inc's standards.
Benefits and Compensation

As a Senior Sous Chef at Marriott International Inc, you will be eligible for a competitive salary range of $82,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off, you will also be eligible for a bonus program and other incentives.
