Executive Chef Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Bartolotta Restaurants. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing kitchen staff, scheduling, and assigning roles based on experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring excellent culinary and restaurant experience for patrons.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients and supplies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, menu innovations, and culinary techniques.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of culinary managerial experience, with a focus on kitchen operations and staff management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health codes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business experience, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Relevant education or training in culinary arts, hospitality, or a related field.
