Position Summary:
The Assistant Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Maintenance Executive Manager by overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance across all Fresh Baguette locations. This position involves managing a team of technicians and coordinating maintenance efforts to minimize service disruptions while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with safety regulations. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will provide hands-on support in the field and foster a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate the core values and culture of Fresh Baguette in all actions.
  • Assist in planning and executing regular preventive maintenance on bakery machinery to prolong asset life.
  • Assess and prioritize corrective maintenance tasks based on urgency.
  • Support the identification, repair, or replacement of worn components as necessary.
  • Address technical challenges at various locations to minimize service interruptions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance activities effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, including food safety, during maintenance operations.
  • Assist in managing the activities of external technicians or subcontractors when required.
  • Participate in budget preparation for maintenance operations.
  • Help manage spare parts procurement and inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and associated costs.
  • Utilize CMMS Limble for tracking maintenance tasks and equipment history.
  • Provide regular reports on maintenance activities to the Maintenance Executive Manager.
  • Work closely with technicians to offer practical support and guidance.
  • Encourage team spirit and contribute to the professional development of technicians.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial electricity, HVAC, and boiler operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of availability and flexibility.
  • OSHA training is advantageous.
  • CFC EPA 608 universal certification is a plus.

Working Hours:
This role requires flexible working hours, including weekends, with a strong commitment to addressing maintenance needs promptly. The primary working hours are from 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with weekend duties shared with the Maintenance Executive Manager.

Compensation:
Salary ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, plus a $1,000 bonus (distributed quarterly) and a $300 monthly stipend for weekend duties.
