Job Overview

We are currently in search of a dedicated 2nd and 3rd Shift Industrial Maintenance Specialist in Thermoforming. The role entails ensuring the operational efficiency of mechanical equipment and machinery, aiming to minimize production interruptions. The specialist will be tasked with diagnosing machinery components and determining the necessity for adjustments or repairs. Additionally, responsibilities will include overseeing facility repairs and maintenance as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair plant machinery and mechanical equipment. Conduct inspections to identify issues, disassemble machines, replace faulty parts, reassemble, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support fellow Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks, identifying items needing repair, and either perform the repairs or document them for future attention.
  • Repair tools such as rivet guns, clamps, and air tools.
  • Perform facility maintenance tasks including changing filters, cleaning HVAC units, and repairing plumbing fixtures.
  • Keep track of ongoing Facilities and Maintenance Task Lists.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Handle the proper disposal of Blood Borne Pathogens as necessary.
  • Manage the delivery and collection of parts and production materials as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
1 – 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate, inspect, and repair air and electric power hand tools.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial machinery.
  • Basic skills in reading blueprints and understanding tolerances.
  • Fundamental plumbing skills, including working with copper, steel, and PVC piping.
  • Basic electrical skills, including installation and troubleshooting of single-phase and three-phase circuits.
  • Understanding of machining and fabrication processes.
  • Welding skills for steel and aluminum.
  • Ability to fabricate components based on written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for industrial machinery.
  • Ability to calibrate CNC trimming equipment.

Certifications:

  • Forklift driver certification (training provided on-site).
  • Bloodborne pathogen certification.
