Job Title: Plumbing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Engineer to join our team at Hoefer Wysocki Architecture. As a key member of our project teams, you will be responsible for preparing plumbing system construction documents for various projects, including healthcare, higher education, and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical design and quality control on assigned projects, including plumbing system calculations and layouts
  • Coordination with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution
  • Maintenance of best practice engineering methods to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Production of construction documents for new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing facilities
  • Construction administration, site visits, and shop drawing review per project
  • Exploration and implementation of cost-efficiency measures
  • Development of project specifications
  • Updating and correcting drawings provided by quality assurance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Engineering field with in-depth knowledge of plumbing systems
  • Medical gas experience is preferred, as well as related experience in the design of healthcare, higher education, or commercial building systems
  • Knowledge of current plumbing and energy codes
  • Project management experience is a plus but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam required
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere
