About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Experience Design to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our Experience Design team, you will be responsible for leading and managing teams to deliver best-in-class designs grounded in user, product, technology, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage teams to deliver design solutions that meet user, product, and business requirements
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to teams to shape the end-to-end customer experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design solutions that meet business objectives
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Verizon's business, strategy, and organizational structure
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies
  • Advocate for design within the wider Verizon organization and drive design-led processes and best practices
  • Lead by example and provide performance feedback, reviews, coaching, and direction to team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience in digital product design
  • Experience leading a team and managing design projects
  • Experience with Agile software delivery environments and common design software (Figma, Adobe, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design
  • Portfolio of professional work
  • 10 or more years of professional design experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally in Fortune 500 companies
  • Contributed to multiple design programs or shipped products with a large user base

For this role, the compensation range is between $150,000.00 and $278,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
