Position Summary:
The Senior Associate in US Business Controls will collaborate with the Manager of US Business Controls to establish and enhance a Business Controls function within the Dentsu US framework. This pivotal role will facilitate the implementation and alignment of financial and operational controls across the US operations, adhering to the Dentsu Internal Controls Framework and JSOX standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the business to evaluate the design and operational efficiency of controls throughout the US organization, providing recommendations for enhancements and standardization.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of business controls across US Service Lines, with a particular emphasis on JSOX compliance.
  • Assist the business during FCAT and external audit evaluations of JSOX controls, including necessary remediation efforts.
  • Oversee and verify the timely resolution of Internal Audit and external audit remediation items.
  • Collaborate with the business on process and system modifications to ensure the implementation of suitable controls in line with the Internal Controls Framework.
  • Offer guidance and support regarding business controls and JSOX to the US Service Line Finance teams.
  • Work alongside US Service Line Controllers, CFOs, Commercial Finance, and Treasury to promote best practices in controls and risk management, ensuring compliance with Group policies.

Additional Duties:

  • Ensure adherence to IFRS, GAAP, and local regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business practices and controls across US Service Lines.
  • Support business transformation initiatives in alignment with the overall finance transformation strategy.
  • Assist in critical system implementations and changes to business processes.
  • Generate innovative ideas and initiatives to enhance financial control across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in public accounting, Risk Assurance, Business Controls, SOX, Internal Audit, or Controllership roles.
  • A graduate degree and/or an internationally recognized finance/accounting qualification (e.g., ACA/CPA, CIA).
  • Experience in the media or advertising sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial and operational controls, with a preference for knowledge of SOX/JSOX requirements.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent business partnering skills, with a focus on relationship building across the organization.
  • Proficient in technical accounting principles.
  • A strong understanding of processes, IT, and data, with the ability to drive efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information confidently to senior management.
  • Familiarity with systems such as D365, Coupa, MediaOcean, Nexelus, or similar is a plus.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $94,000 and $152,375, with actual compensation determined by various factors including experience, knowledge, and skills. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off, is also available.
